Bishop John Vertin was the third bishop of Marquette from 1879 until 1899.
Fr. Edward Jacker (not pictured) was a faithful co-worker to Bishop Frederic Bargara, the first bishop of Marquette. Father Jacker was assigned to St. Anthony Church in Calumet.
